Η πλοκή της ταινίας
Κατά τη διάρκεια του Δεύτερου Παγκοσμίου Πολέμου, η οικογένεια του οκτάχρονου Eda, αναγκάζεται να μετακομίσει από την Πράγα. Για τον Eda, η ζωή γίνεται διαφορετική και παράξενη, παράλληλα όμως και συναρπαστική –γίνεται μέλος της τοπικής συμμορίας αγοριών, για πρώτη φορά ανακαλύπτει την ομορφιά των κοριτσιών, καθώς και τα οικογενειακά μυστικά. O Eda παρακολουθεί τον πόλεμο με το παιδικό του βλέμμα…

The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Athens with pleasure informs that the Czech film Barefoot (colour, 111´), by the Oscar winner director Jan Svěrák, will be screened within the programme of the 19th Festival du Film Francophone in Athens in the cinema ASTOR (Stadiou 28, 105 59 Athény, “Stoa Korai” – metro station Panepistimio, phone: 210 32 11 950) on Friday 23 March 2018 at 18:00.

The story
“Eight-year-old Eda is a long-desired and anxiously protected child of parents who had lost one baby before. Eda is therefore a backup child; he even has the same name. After his father rejects to affiliate with Nazi invaders of Czechoslovakia in 1939, the family is forced to leave Prague and spend the war time living with relatives in the countryside. The war provides the mysterious adventures to Eda whose childish eyes cannot perceive the danger of those difficult times. To him life feels strange but beautiful now – a city boy lives in a tiny town, joins local boyish crew to spend days walking barefoot, notices beauty of girls for the first time and discovers both, deep family secrets, and his own bravery.”
